Job description / Role
This leading GCC contractor are working on a number of prestigious building projects in Qatar. They require a Estimating / Bid Director to join the team. The successful candidate will manage the estimating team and take responsibility for the work winning strategy.
Requirements
- A BSc Civil Engineering
- Chartered membership of a professional organization such as CIOB or RICS.
- Experience of working in the GCC
- Able to produce an estimate from first principles including all indirect costs
- Detailed knowledge of construction contractual matters as well in quantity surveying methods, techniques and tools for contracting
- Knowledge in resources planning, detailed estimate rate calculations etc.
- Able to use Cost estimating packages such as CCS (Candy) will be a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of local material rate, labor gang productivities and Subcontractors
- Fluency in Arabic would be an advantage
