Expressive Arts Psychotherapist - Doha, Qatar - up to circa £ 45, 000 pa. Tax free plus benefits
Based in Doha, Qatar, our client is a new sanctuary for wellness and treatment of behavioural disorders. The facility will assist people with behavioural disorders to achieve and sustain the quality of life they aspire for, in a healing environment using evidence based practices.
They are currently in a state of expansion and are looking for an Expressive Arts Psychotherapist/ Therapist to join their team. The role will involve working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a high standard of clinical care, which encompasses expressive arts psychotherapy assessment, treatment and management of Guest-clients experiencing substance-elated and addictive disorders and co-morbid conditions.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Providing a high quality expert expressive arts psychotherapy including the; planning, designing and facilitation of rehabilitation program
- Provide age and developmentally appropriate arts psychotherapy groups and establishing appropriate S.M.A.R.T. treatment goals.
- To flexibly manage a varied caseload of both residential and ambulatory care Guest-clients with complex needs, using evidence based person centred principles.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant behavioural health field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy or dance therapy).
Be licensed as an expressive arts therapist in home country, e.g:
- Recreational Therapist- Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS)
- Music Therapist- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
- Art Therapist-Registered Art Therapist (ATR)
- Dance Movement Therapist- Board Certified Dance Movement Therapist (BC- DMT)
In addition to this you must also have Up-to-date CPD in relevant expressive arts therapy areas,
Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant subject area and A Master's Degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Drama or Dance Movement Therapy.
Those looking to apply must have at least 5 years' experience in expressive arts therapy and be able to speak Arabic.
