Employment: Full Time

Our client is a wellness and rehabilitation facility focusing on the treatment of behavioural disorders. Based in Doha, Qatar the facility will provide the highest standards in clinical treatment along with hospitality-enhanced services. 

We are recruiting for an Expressive Arts Psychotherapist with experience in mental health and/or substance misuse. Please note that for this opening our client is only accepting Male candidates; bilingual in English and Arabic.   
 
Job Purpose:
To work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a high standard of clinical care, which encompasses expressive arts psychotherapy assessment, treatment and management of Guest-clients experiencing substance-elated and addictive disorders and co-morbid conditions.  

Duties:
- To provide high quality expert expressive arts psychotherapy including the; planning, designing and facilitation of rehabilitation program.
- To provide age and developmentally appropriate arts psychotherapy groups and establishing appropriate S.M.A.R.T. treatment goals.  
- To flexibly manage a varied caseload of both residential and ambulatory care Guest-clients with complex needs, using evidence based person centred principles.
- Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care.
- To participate in in-service development.
- To participate in service improvement initiatives.
- To assist in the teaching of other multi-disciplinary team members, clinical and non-clinical staff, and others to promote understanding of expressive arts psychotherapy to enhance Guest-client recovery.
- Perform any other work-related tasks or activities within scope of practice and agreed competencies as directed by the ‘direct supervisor’

Requirements

- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant behavioural health field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy or dance therapy)  
- Licensed as an expressive arts therapist in home country, e.g.: Recreational Therapist- Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS), Music Therapist- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), Art Therapist-Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Dance Movement Therapist- Board Certified Dance Movement Therapist (BC- DMT)
- Up-to-date CPD in relevant expressive arts therapy areas
- Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant subject area
- A Master's Degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Drama or Dance Movement Therapy
- At least 5 years’ experience in expressive arts therapy
- Multidisciplinary experience in a range of clinical fields to include mental health, or medical
- Previous experience in specialist area of mental health
- Fluent in Arabic and English
