Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This is an upper-level management position. As well as overseeing the daily operations of the physical building(s), these individuals are responsible for managing staff, budgets, and subcontractors, as well as negotiating leases and overseeing construction projects. They manage multiple types of technical services associated with facilities management, and they must be able to assess and successfully resolve any issues that may arise with minimal disruption to business operations.

Facilities directors must be proficient in the planning, operation, and supervision of the physical plant, and they must have knowledge of government regulations and compliance requirements. Some of the physical plant and facilities management duties that these directors oversee include waste management, grounds, infrastructure, and housekeeping. They must also develop and monitor budgets for their organization's facilities-related functions. Individuals in this position generally work both in an office and on site in the facilities they oversee. They may need to meet with clients on weekends and after typical work hours. Facilities directors may also be required to respond to emergencies requiring immediate attention.

Requirements

The candidate should have at least 10 years hard and soft services experience within a Mall environment. You are required to have a bachelor’s degree and trade certification or equivalent job experience. Candidate should have strong customer service and negotiating skills, as well as supervisory experience. They must also have the ability to multitask and work well on a team. Hard and Soft service experience is a must!
