Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Quickly developing an understanding of the target business and its drivers
- Interpretation and analysis of information memoranda, business plans, publicly available information on the target business
- Review and analysis of historical trading , cash flows and balance sheets
- Review and analysis of projections, and underlying assumptions
- Review of the adequacy of working capital facilities, including consideration of financing limits, terms and covenants
- Evaluation of potential synergies
- Reporting of potential key issues for our client including identification of risk or price affecting considerations
- Review of sale and purchase agreement and correlating findings of due diligence process therein
- Project management of mid to large scale due diligence assignments including: client interface, managing an assignment team, managing project risk issues and monitoring costs/recovery
- Production of quality deliverables (usually detailed written reports) within agreed timescales, briefing Partner/ Director accordingly. On larger deals this involves responsibility for the production of discrete report sections
- Various marketing initiatives and practice development activities (e.g. Client presentations, key client accounts, industry, geography, and product programmes, develop and maintain a personal network of contacts and display a strong awareness of business development opportunities)
- To have a broad perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating an inclusive culture
- Identify team member development needs and accelerate development by establishing the appropriate plans and frameworks with particular emphasis on coaching and skills transfer.

The Assistant Director will act as a role model with colleagues and clients by living the values of the Firm
- Create a learning environment through leadership

Requirements

The Role may involve a significant amount of travel within the Middle East and occasional outside of the Middle East, and will require the flexibility to meet peaks of work inherent in the deal cycle.

Skills & Experience:
- Strong academic background with financial qualifications such as an ACA qualification (ideally first time passes) or equivalent international qualification/experience
- Relevant transaction services experience
- Motivated, dedicated, dynamic and a hard worker
- Evidence of team leadership and management ability
- Broad financial and commercial experience, having demonstrated achievement either within a professional services organisation or corporate
- Client focused, ensuring high quality service
- Advanced level of technical proficiency and computer literacy particularly with spreadsheets (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Additional desirable experience includes:
- Fluency in Arabic would be an advantage
- Experience of sale and purchase agreement negotiations would be an advantage
