Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Financial Controller - 25,000 QAR

PURPOSE: Performs professional accounting work including any or all of the following; posting entries and reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and cash management, payroll and employee records, office and property management.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Month end closing and reporting
- Accounts receivable and engaging customers
- Accounts payable and engaging suppliers
- Expense claims
- cash flow and petty cash management
- Payroll complete process
- Accounting entries in ERP-system and reporting-system including complete profit loss and balance sheet
- Engaging with external partners, auditors, lawyers, banks, insurance and governments
- Preferable experience in dealing wither “Letters of Credit”, “Performance Bond Guarantees” and “Bank Guarantees”
- Local Tax requirement

Requirements

- Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience locally based in Qatar
- Knowledge of accounting principles and accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/ABILITY
- Excellent organisational skills, effective time management, including the ability to deal with the conflicting demands in order to meet deadlines, prioritise heavy workload and have a willingness to work flexibly
- Good analytical skills
- Abundance of common sense and able to maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Must be able to work on own initiative, with minimal management instruction or interaction
- Clear English oral and written communication – attention to detail
- Integrity, and an ability to deal with and recognise confidential and sensitive information as well as work in a professional and customer friendly manner
- Provide continuously business support to local country manager and the regional head of finance
