Franchise Manager – Qatar

Qatar is booming and the retail sector is following suit. Our client, a leading retailer and wholesaler is currently experiencing further expansion and growth and they are now seeking an experienced Franchise Manager to join their team to develop, lead and implement a company Franchise Business Model in the Middle East.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- To understand the Retail business processes, provide an established, tried-and-tested Franchise system and oversee new franchisees.
- Lead and implement the Franchise Business Model from end-to-end in the Middle East markets ensuring best business practices.
- Improve performance of the Franchising business model in the respective markets, Identify and develop new franchise opportunities.
- Evaluate franchise partners KPIs to ensure business success and manage all reports.
- Develop the assortment and buying plan for all franchise stores.
- Expand the franchisee network through marketing & sales efforts locally and internationally.
- Provide guidelines in new site selection and construction of new outlets.
- Provide overall supervision of the franchise activities.
- Prepare market studies in order to identify the potential in market.
- Prepare the corresponding business plan.
- Introduce and maintain competitor-monitoring program.

Requirements

- Master Degree/Post Graduate in Retail or Relevant Business or Marketing Professional Studies.
- Highly credible commercial professional with International Franchising experience and ideally live target contacts within the target regions and a demonstrable record of accomplishment of success.
- Minimum of 10 years senior retail experience, preferably in Sports Fashion or large Department Stores.
- Proven experience in developing new retail markets, including new countries, new business development with Principals, new franchisee lead development.
- Strong commercial awareness and communications skills.
- Sound financial management and strong analytical skills.
- Must have strong understanding of Middle East retail industry and market.
- Excellent work ethic, strong leadership qualities and a focused team player are critical attributes.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc., is required.
