General Manager (Industrial Bakery and Kitchen equipment)

An established Qatari holding group is seeking a General Manager (Industrial bakery and Kitchen equipment) to join the team in Qatar. Reporting to the CEO, this individual will provide overall direction and management of the company, with bottom line responsibility for profit and loss.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Providing the overall direction and management of the client for the GCC/Middle East region.
* Participating in the creation and implementation of the Sales Business Plan, achieving the targets and objectives set and agreed with the CEO.
* Managing the sales efforts, including on-site and off-site meetings with sales leads, assistance in sales prospecting, attending networking events and aggressively seeking leads, staffing trade shows, and more.
* Creating own management plan to manage future to employ sales manager & sales executives with clearly defined tasks and results and control measurements.
* Liaising closely with all stakeholders to ensure the client has a strong commercial focus in all areas of operations.
* Negotiating and initiating contracts with customers for products and services, and monitoring established contracts to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Developing potential customer lists to develop new sales opportunities using available information and through market research.
* With the CEO, identifying developing and directing the implementation of a clear business strategy for the region.
* Ensuring a business plan is set in place and constantly monitored.
* Planning and directing overall client activities to achieve stated/agreed targets and standards for financial, trading and quality performance.
* In conjunction with the CEO, ensuring that realistic goals are set for the client, and then taking full responsibility to ensure that the goals are met.
* Ensuring the client complies with company law and other relevant legislation.
* Monitoring financial performance and ensuring the client remains profitable.
* Ensuring sound financial management of the company by prudently managing resources and recommending a yearly budget for board approval.
* Recruiting, selecting and developing team members.
* Promoting and instilling "team" attitude, across all job categories and functions throughout the company.
* Representing the client at exhibitions, conferences and official occasions.

Requirements

* Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Management or Business.
* Minimum 5 years' work experience in a related function, with demonstrable track record in sales and management of a sales oriented company.
* Industry experience preferred, as is experience in international sales management.
