Government Relations Manager (Bilingual)

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a leading professional services organisation. Our client is looking to hire an extremely well presented, professional and experienced bilingual (English / Arabic) Government / Public Relations Manager to be based in their Qatar office.

Working alongside senior management, you will oversee, review and maintain all documents ensuring full compliance with the ministries and governmental bodies in Qatar. You will work closely with clients managing company formations, providing advice on regulatory and employment matters and managing all registrations and licenses. You will also provide regular updates and communications to senior management regarding any legislation that will impact the business.

In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the company is complying with all Qatari Labour Laws, Immigration and Government laws whilst providing a professional service across the business and to clients.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have a law Degree with at least 5 years’ proven track record in an identical role. You should come with a solid network of relevant contacts in Qatar required to undertake this role. It is essential you have excellent communication skills in Arabic and English along with a strong knowledge of the Qatar Legal Systems including commercial and employment law. You should also be able to work under pressure meeting changing deadlines and priorities.
