Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The job holder is responsible for developing creative concepts and driving strategic design initiatives in support of the Communications &Marketing Department to further communications goals.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop creative design ideas and concepts that resonate with the audiences.
- Develop, pitch and implement above the line, below the line and through the line campaigns to internal clients, including strategy, goals and timelines.
- Create innovative and creative campaigns in support of marketing initiatives across the organization.
- Investigate new design techniques and programs to determine their suitability for the organization.
- Benchmark and research design industry leaders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal clients and external agency contacts.
- Provide guidance and support to brand, marketing and PR/media teams to maximize design impact.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor directly related or relevant to the job

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or relevant disciplines
- Experience in graphic design projects preferably in a sport-orientated organisation
- Proven experience in developing innovative and successful online and offline marketing campaigns using all major design programs
- Excellent design skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Experience of working in the region and knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility and a related ability to work autonomously
- A team player willing to work on tight timelines and pitch in when needed
- A positive attitude, patience and persistence, especially when dealing with various internal and external stakeholders

In addition to delivering infrastructure in line with Qatar’s long-term development plans, legacy goals of the SC include nurturing exceptional local and international talent and incubating the Josoor Institute, a centre of excellence for the sports and events industries in the Middle East; fostering the development of Qatar’s private sector and streamlining regulatory frameworks; and making Qatari football more competitive and increasing participation in sports in Qatar, the region and globally.
