A High-Profile Leading Global Advertising & Communications Agency in Doha, Qatar is hiring a Group Account Director.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- To have complete responsibility for the management of the agency’s client portfolio, setting the long term vision for the business, managing the Client needs and expectations at the most senior level, seeking opportunities to engage in broader business dialogue with Clients
- To be responsible for the quality of the Agency’s relationship with each Client; he/she should forge strong links at the senior Client level based on mutual trust and respect. These should form the basis of a long term partnership with the Client
- To take an active lead in new business pitches, from initial preparation to final presentation
Requirements
In partnership with the Strategic Planning Director, to apply innovative thinking to the development of insightful communication strategies, a longer term brand vision and outstanding creative briefs
In conjunction with the Creative Director, the Head of Client Servicing is ultimately responsible for the quality of the creative work delivered to his/her Clients and for motivating members of the team to achieve the highest creative standards
To build the trust of all Clients, giving them the confidence to buy brave ideas
To lead the Account Team in developing positive and constructive relationships with other departments
To provide advice, support and troubleshooting where necessary to ensure all projects are completed to the highest standards, on brief, on budget and on time
To have the ultimate responsibility for the long term profitability of the account:
- Negotiate fees, control costs, maximise revenue and seek new income opportunities
- Responsible for the recruitment, retention and career progression of team members.
- To work jointly with the Managing Director and Heads of other disciplines to set and manage the commercial performance of the agency through monthly forecasting and budget management.
