Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: Plan, Lead, and Direct the PR Communications & Planning Division in developing, implementing main communication strategies, tools and PR programs.

Key Job Accountabilities:
- Direct media management strategies for projects and Company activities and manage relations with local, regional and international media and ensure Company develops effective media responses through message development, training of spokespeople and adherence to media protocol.
- Lead the PR crisis management team to include their training and competence development to ensure an effective crisis management plan and arrangements are in place.
- Plan and contribute to the annual Reputation Management and implement the section process, including establishing priorities and deliverables.
- Ensure all media releases and other external communication materials are of high quality and fit for the purpose.
- Manage and approve the production of all marketing materials and act as the custodian and police of the QG brand internally and externally.
- Direct and implement issues management processes of the Company to ensure robust and consistent approach to issues including the development of appropriate message and communications activities to support issues management.
- Develop and control editorial policy and production deadlines for Qatargas publications to ensure the theme of the articles is suitable and review all publications issued by Department and provide recommendations and advise senior management on presentations/speeches to ensure contents are in line with overall corporate messages.
- Manage tenders and processes for all contracts within the area of PR Communications and Planning. In addition to monitoring and preparing section budget.
- Review, update section Policy and procedures , conduct its roll-out program and assure adherence to said policy in order to ensure that activities are within QG standards and corporate image is protected.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Public Relations or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Public Relations including at least 5 years’ experience in Media.
