Job description / Role
- Ensure the implementation of QF emergency response plan in accordance with QF HSSE Management System.
- Participate in the HSSE MS audits to ensure that all QF affiliated entities and centres are in compliance with HSSE MS emergency response requirements.
- Act as the emergency planning technical authority within the organization.
- Ensure the readiness of QF internal emergency response capability for QF-HQ.
- Ensure that all QF-HQ related emergency plans; procedures/processes are kept current and are up to date.
- Develop, review and approve the development of strategies, plans and procedures, ensuring that they are consistent with HSSE MS requirements and where applicable industry best practices.
- Ensure the integration between QF emergency response pan and other QF entities plans.
- Provide technical input and contribute to HSSE Directorate business continuity plan.
- Participate in the regular review and testing program for the HSSE directorate Business Continuity Plan.
- Manage and facilitate exercises to validate the overall QF emergency planning and crisis management framework, QF-HQ plans and procedures.
- Coordinate and liaise with government agencies to ensure alignment of actions and efforts when responding to emergencies with the education city.
- Plan and execute Education City annual exercise with other government agencies.
- Share and disseminate lessons learned from exercises, drills and real incidents within the organization.
- Comply with and enforce QF health, safety, and environment policies, procedures, legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility to ensure that work is performed in a safe, healthy and environmentally-sound manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in emergency planning or an equivalent Engineering Discipline
- A minimum of 6-8 years’ experience of relevant full-time work experience, with at least 3 years at supervisory level; operational experience with emergency services is a plus factor.
- Experience in managing emergency response capability, development of plans and standard operating instructions and procedures.
- Good writing skills and persuasive oral communication skills with English and preferably in Arabic as well.
- Possesses command and control training and skills.
- Strong knowledge of technical standards, international standards guidelines, benchmarks and best practice.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
