Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a regional food manufacturer with strong presence in the GCC market. Our client is looking to hire a Head of Quality for their Qatar manufacturing facility. To be considered for this role you must have comprehensive quality experience within the food sector or consumer goods sector.
This role is responsible to set the Quality and Safety vision along with developing and implementing quality strategies and programs across the organisation. In addition, other duties will include aligning with the QHSE plan as per the corporate strategy, setting up and achieving KPIs for finished products as well as raw materials and systems. You will also develop and maintain policies, SOPs and GTPs and performing RCA. You will interact effectively with all levels within the organisation, leading, developing and managing the competency and performance of QHSE team.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you should hold an MBA or Postgraduate with a relevant Degree in Food Science/Technology along with 10 or more years of experience in a similar role as well as extensive knowledge of the GCC market within the food sector. You need to have strong QHSE audit skills and knowledge of industry standards and systems as well as a solid understanding of laboratory operations and equipment. You must also understand how to evaluate a quality system and manage the competency of the team.
