Job description / Role
We are urgently looking for a Heath and Safety Engineer to work for one of our most important clients (major consultancy firm) in the Metro project in Doha, Qatar. It is for the construction of the metro of Doha City (Qatar).
Requirements
- 10 years overall experience and 5 in a similar rol
- 5 years of experience working in rail projects, including metro
- holder of B.Sc, BEng, BA or Equivalent Degree
- In-depth knowledge of national and international safety/health laws/regulations, industry standards for safety/health performance, and best management practices for minimizing potential safety/health hazards during project execution.
- Proficiency in managing safety/health systems and supervising technical staff.
- Experience in managing and/or providing technical oversight of safety/health subcontractors.
- Experience in safety/health assessments/inspections/audits during construction.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety/health awareness training programs.
- Safety/health-related certifications from national/international accrediting organizations/associations.
