HR Assistant - Generalist/Strategy

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible in providing human resources services, including HR policies and procedures, employment processing, compensation, employee relations and retentions, administration or other related task. Must work closely and effectively with the Manager - HR & Admin.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing Company’s HR policies and procedures in line with local labour law.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Updating and maintaining payroll records.
- Maintenance of payroll system and leave planning system.
- Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries.
- Maintaining leave, sickness and overtime reports.
- Payroll administration.
- Prepares employment contract of the employees.
- Prepare and process applications related to work permits, employee visas etc.
- Monitoring renewal of RP, Hamad Health Card and Work Permit etc.
- Conducts exit interviews and generates report.
- Attends to employees’ grievances and complaints; provides guidance if necessary.
- Reviews, updates and maintains proper filing of insurance policy, performance appraisal form and training schedules.
- Drafting out annual letter and promotion letter.
- Administers the HR procedures are adhered to.
- Assist the manager in enhancing annual performance appraisal system.

Responsibilities will be added or amended as required and the same is not restricted to the above.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent from an accredited University is required.
- Candidate must have Qatar experience and knowledge in Qatar labor law.
- ICDL/ECDL would be an advantage.
- Certificate in Human Resources or equivalent would be preferred.
- More than three years’ HR generalist experience is required.
- Qatar driving license would be an advantage.
- Experience in using HR tools and applications.

Competencies:
- Time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Knowledge of Qatar labor law.
- Flexible and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize work and assignments effectively.
- Excellent English communication skills-both oral and written.
- Arabic communication skills both oral and written would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VISIO etc.
- Knowledge in using HRIS/HRMS Software.
- Understanding of payroll legislation (WPS) and processes.
