Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Knowledge of and ability to use management concepts and principles including goal setting, planning and execution.
• Knowledge of Company core values, vision and Cause no harm principles. Knowledge of and adhere to company policies, procedures, guidelines and work requirements.
• Basic knowledge of construction techniques and the ability to recommend safe work practices. Remain abreast of all relevant HSE laws, codes of practice and standards for the area.
• Understands and uses personal protective equipment, safe work practices, environmental stewardship practices and team work.
• Conducts regular inspections, safety audits and hazard assessments of work locations, work groups, projects and individuals at the assigned job location.
• Manage Contractor’s HSE personnel and ensure their adherence to Corporation’s HSE related matters.
• Conduct HSE audit at site locations HC ensure IPAC, Risk and OHS Policies and regulations are implemented on site.
• Identifies hazards and potential risks and assist operations staff with eliminating or mitigating those hazards.
• Advises jobsite managers on HSE-related matters.
• Conducts first level investigations of worksite accidents, injuries, prepares reports and assists with employee medical needs as required. Serves as Core member of emergency response team at the work site.
• Assist with the development and implementation of appropriate location emergency response systems.
• Provide relevant information for monthly HSE reports.
• Accountable for the supervision the administrator and record keeper on area specific HSE audits, inspections, reports, certifications, permits, etc.
• Attends pre-job, planning and other contractor’s meeting as required.
• Conducts HSE audits and inspections, HSE presentations and trainings as required.
• Ability to effectively communicate HSE requirements and values to all levels of employees and contractor’s representatives.
• The incumbent will undertake any such related duties or responsibilities as directed.
• Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard any sensitive information.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in any Engineering or other allied fields.
• Possess strong knowledge of OHSAS18001, ISO14001 and ISPS standards
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in HSE, reasonable knowledge of relevant HSE principles.
• Good Knowledge in MS Project, MS Office Applications.
