Charterhouse is working with a leading utility services company based in Qatar that is looking to significantly grow its team. This organisation specialises in providing energy efficient and pioneering sustainable solutions in the market place. The company provides real estate developers with a comprehensive package of utility management including but not limited to: master planning, design of infrastructure, construction supervision and operation.

As Instrumentation & Automation Engineer you will be involved in the operation and control of the equipment functionally associated with district cooling plants (centrifugal chiller, cooling tower, centrifugal pump, chemical dozing system, make up water system, HVAC, fire alarm & firefighting system). As well as the operation and control of the equipment functionally associated with the PWC plants (centrifugal fans, compactors, pneumatic control systems, automation and programming). Further the operation and control of the equipment functionally associated with a Gas Farm (SCADA, gas detection panels, chromatograph, emergency shutdown system (ESD) for valves and tanks, hazardous zoning etc.). You will also be involved in the design of plant wide redundant automation and integration commissioning works for all plants, whilst handling automation vendor to execute commissioning works within stipulated time and compliance to specification.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have a Degree preferably in electrical, electro-mechanical, communications or instrumentation. You should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 7 years’ hands-on experience designing instrumentation and controls, preferably in a consulting engineering role.
