Interface Manager - Rail Systems

Parsons is the Project Management Consultancy for a major rail systems design and build project in Qatar. We are currently looking for an Interface Manager for this project. The Interface Manager will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for implementing the whole process of Interface Management throughout design, installation and testing/commissioning phase.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review Rail Systems Contractors’ Interface plan, methods and tools.
- Monitor Rail Systems Contractors’ Interface process and request corrective actions as needed
- Supervise the timely address of RFIs from either Civils or Rail Systems Contractors.
- Manage the team of interface engineers. Supervise the proper involvement of the technical disciplines.
- Facilitate the exchange between Rail Systems Contractors and Civils and monitor the communications in coordination with Configuration Manager.

Requirements

- At least 15 to 20 years of overall experience.
- At least 10 years of rail systems experience including metro design and build projects.
- Minimum 5 years of similar experience, i.e. experience as Interface Manager on a multi-billion dollar rail systems project.
- Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Must have a solid understanding of regulatory approvals and permitting from government agencies.
