Interior Designer

Job description / Role

The interior design, decoration, and functionality of a space, whether the space is commercial, industrial, or residential, are the responsibility of an interior designer. They work closely with the client to determine needs of the users, the structure of a space, and the style that would be appropriate to the project.

Interior designers work with color, fabric, and furniture; interior designers must know materials, have budgeting skills, communicate well, and oversee the ordering, installation, and maintenance of all objects that define a space.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare designs as per contract.
- Communicate ideas clearly and effectively, as well as be attentive listeners.
- Work with architects, contractors and service providers during the various phases of the project – pre-design, design development, during construction and post construction.
- Work with contractors and clients in planning and implementing aesthetic and functional decisions within budget. Negotiate and mediate when necessary to solve problems.
- Developing initial ideas/Concept and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients (the brief) and setting project schedules

Requirements

- B. Sc. in Interior Design/Architect
- Strong conceptual skills
- Strong communication/verbal skills
- Good coordination skills
- Ability to work autonomously or with minor supervision
- Must have experience in Residential or Hospitality field.
- Preparing detailed drawings in CAD
- Supervise CAD Drafters
- Team player
