Internal Auditor - Qatar
Leading Retailer & Wholesaler

Qatar is booming and the retail sector is following suit. Our client, a leading retailer and wholesaler is currently experiencing rapid growth and they are now seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to be responsible for the execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- Conduct risk assessment of assigned department or functional area in established/required timeline.
- Establish risk-based audit programs.
- Attend meetings with teams to develop an understanding of the business processes and procedures.
- Travelling to all the showrooms/work places to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information.
- Research and assess the functionality of risk management processes and suggest improvements as and when necessary.
- Determine scope of review in conjunction with the Audit/Finance Manager.
- Review the suitability of internal control design.
- Conduct audit testing of specified area and identify reportable issues and dimension of risk.
- Determine compliance with policies and procedures.
- Present findings to senior management and draft comprehensive and complete report of audit area.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and Chartered Accountant qualification is preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail sector
- Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure
