Job description / Role
Objectives: Responsible for all current iT and communications network and systems, providing strategic overview to meet business and system requirements whilst managing a team to ensure a seamless service.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for budgeting of IT requirements for planning and cost saving
- Purchasing of softwares, peripherals, services or hardware for all departments
- Networking and developing of supplier relationships
- Communicate regular with department heads to identify IT requirements, address issues or providing IT solutions
- Manage deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, softwares and hardware
- Develop protocols and guidance to IT employees and end users allowing efficiencies
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures including security, disaster recovery, purchasing and service provision
- Analyze information effectively in a manner to aid in competitive advantage
- Manage and develop IT employees including training, performance management and disciplinary actions
Reporting to: General Manager
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology or Information Systems
- Other certifications obtained: CISSP, CISM and ITIL are preferable
- 8-10 years experience in IT or IS of which 4-6 years should be in a similar industry
