ITS Engineer – Grade 2

Job description / Role

- Liaison with engineers and technicians from within the organization and with external consultants and contractors
- Carrying out the review and design of ITS systems and infrastructure for road projects in accordance with Qatar Standards, specifications and procedures
- Carrying out inspections and review of existing ITS infrastructure
- Providing ITS advice and guidance into various road infrastructure projects
- Carrying out studies for the implementation and operation of ITS
- Providing support in the preparation of route reports, location reports and area reports as required by the organization
- Liaise with utilities providers and other stakeholders
- Liaison with other interdisciplinary technical specialists in addressing ITS issues on infrastructure projects

Requirements

- BSc / BEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in design, operation and maintenance of ITS infrastructure, with satisfactory exposure to all related disciplines
- Working knowledge of written and/or spoken Arabic would be advantageous
- Experience in highway design, traffic engineering and allied fields.
- Experience with electrical / electronic / telecommunications systems as related to ITS
