Junior Quantity Surveyor - EET Engineering - HMAF - Doha, Qatar

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor you are required to manage financial and contractual matters related to labour and material quantities required for an assigned project.

Some of your responsibilities include; Support and prepare monthly payment applications for appropriate material and labour quantities, Ascertain value of variations in project work, Initiate claims to be covered by Main Contractor in case of project delays, Prepare cost analysis resulting from project delays, Assess cost of temporary labour for day works, and cost of contra charges in case of re-work.

Prepare financial reports related to project material and labour quantities such as cash flow, Provide commercial support to Project Manager by assisting in determining the most efficient and economical suppliers in the market, Submit final accounts at the end of the project’s completion, Preparation of Cost reports and other MIS reports, and Payment Certification of Subcontractors.

You will be in direct contact with the main Contractor, Consultant, Project Team for clarifications on project quantity requirements. Internally you will liaison with the Functional Heads; & Staff from Other Divisions.

Requirements

You are required to have at least 4-7 years of experience in the GCC preferably in contracting companies. You must be qualified with a Diploma or Degree in QS/BE.

Experience in Microsoft office (Word/Excel/Power-point) is advantageous.

You should have excellent communication and time-management skills.
