Job description / Role

Our client is a wellness and rehabilitation facility focusing on the treatment of behavioural disorders. Based in Doha, Qatar the facility will provide the highest standards in clinical treatment along with hospitality-enhanced services. 

Job Purpose:
To work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of clinical care, which encompasses psychological assessment, treatment and management of patients suffering from mental and physical health disorders. 

Clinical Duties:
- To provide high quality expert clinical care assessing, formulating and develop individual exercise plans using specialist knowledge for specific medical conditions.
- To flexibly manage a varied caseload of both inpatient and outpatients with complex needs; supporting lifestyle changes through safe and evidence based physical activity.
- To work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care.

Educational duties:
- To participate and lead in physical health and wellbeing in-service development.
- To develop and implement service improvement.
- To assist in the teaching of other multidisciplinary team members, clinical and non-clinical staff, and others to promote knowledge of physical activity to enhance patient care.

Requirements

- Bachelors or Master's degree in Kinesiology/Exercise physiology or related field (Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Applied sports science etc.)
- Licensed/Registered in relevant area in home country
- Up-to date CPD in relevant areas
- At least 5 years relevant experience.
- Multidisciplinary experience in one of more of the clinical fields: mental health, cardiopulmonary or medical
- Experience within a multidisciplinary team to design special exercise programs for clients with various high risk health concerns
- Clinical skills for submaximal and maximal exercise testing
- Advanced exercise prescription skills and risk assessment skills for high risk patient groups
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to act on own initiative within the framework of naufar
