Landscape Engineer

Job description / Role

- Reporting directly to the Resident Engineer
- Supervision and inspection of landscape construction works and reports;
- Review shop drawings and make recommendations;
- Off-site and on-site inspections of materials and mock-ups;
- Review Contractor submittals and make recommendations;
- Respond to Requests for Information from contractors.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors;
- Review Change Order requests and make recommendations;
- Issue Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) where appropriate.
- Check and certify progress payments to the Contractor
- Assist the preparation of weekly and monthly reports
- Preparation and monitoring punching lists
- Final inspections and certifications.
- Attend coordination meetings with the Contractor on issues that affect the architectural design.
- Attend architectural site inspections together with the Contractor’s representative site engineer, check the work done and materials in accordance to the approved vendor’s list, shop drawing, method statement, specification and Qatar Construction Standard.
- Issue site memo’s and site instructions to the contractor to follow.
- Reporting to the Resident Engineer, you will be liaising closely with other consultants, Client’s PM/CM and contractors and participating in coordination meetings. You will ensure smooth operations on site, plan resources and attend site meetings with Client(s) and provide advice on design work.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3 year site supervision experience in external landscaping and coordination with infrastructure works.
- Minimum ten (10) years' experience, three (3) years of which should be in a similar role with engineering consultancy or project management consultancy
- Three (3) years' GCC experience
