Legal Counsel - Doha

The Legal Counsel will serve as an attorney for corporate and commercial legal matters, providing internal clients with effective advice on business decisions and their implementation and ensuring the compliance with the applicable laws and industry regulations, and the company’s policies, while supporting corporate goals and strategies.

- Work with the companies stakeholders (directors, shareholders, free zone authorities and regulators), provide information and advice on best practices and governance framework to meet the needs of the company.
- Manage day-to-day commercial transactions, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating simple and complex agreements with customers, services providers, vendors, and other business partners.
- Advise the companies various departments concerning specific legal issues relating to telecom regulatory, compliance and employment matters.
- Manage selection, engagement and performance assessment of outside counsel.

Requirements

- Fluent in English and Arabic languages
- Knowledge of the common law system
- Analytical and problem solving
- Excellent negotiation and communications skills
- Managerial skills, and negotiating, writing and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Degree in Law (holding an attorney’s license is preferred ) Experience
- You should have 6+ years of related experience. At least 2 years of which in the TMT (telecom or IT) sectors (corporate law, contract law, commercial law, intellectual property rights)
