Employment: Full Time

Our client who has operations locally and abroad is expanding their legal department and are looking to hire a well-educated and ambitious Merger & Acquisitions Legal Counsel who is currently working at a Top Tier Firm within the M&A Dept. This is an exciting new role where the client is looking to hire a candidate who has a extensive experience in cross-border transactions, focusing on Pre-M&A, M&A Contracts, Process and Documents, Post M&A and Sales of Business and Divestment.

You will join a well-respected and driven team assisting the General Counsel by providing legal advice on all legal matters relating to appropriate financing for local and international M&A’s, investments and divestments. You will also provide advice on the recommended M&A acquisition method, approach and structure, drafting, negotiating and performance of the M&A contracts and relevant documents to ensure protection against legal exposures and liabilities, and provide sound legal risk assessment for management.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a high level of commercial awareness and will be educated at one of the top institutions. You should be a confident, dynamic and personable individual with a professional approach, who can build strong internal and external relationships. You will also be able to work and lead autonomously on deals with minimal supervision and be comfortable with negotiation commercial and non-legal issues along with corporate issues. You should a minimum of 7 to 10 years’ M&A experience with excellent drafting and negotiation skills, strong corporate transaction experience and extensive cross-border M&A experience gained in a top tier firm is required. GCC experience advantageous.
