Employment: Full Time

As Manager - Employee Relations, you will be accountable for the overall, centralised management of ER cases across the whole Qatar Airways Group. Working together with HR Business Support, you will have direct involvement in complex and significant cases whilst providing expertise and consistency as well as developing and implementing standard procedures and policies relating to investigations, disciplinaries, appeals and grievances.

Key accountabilities:

Strategic:
In the role of Manager - Employee Relations you will be contributing to the development of the HR function by developing an ER strategy that is aligned with business needs. As part of this, you will be designing, planning and implementing the company's employee relations programs policies and procedures.

Operational:
On the operational side, you will be partnering with the HR Business Support team in managing cases and providing guidance and expertise on Qatar Labour Law, investigations process and case management outcomes. You will be guiding managers on company policies and procedures with regards to Employee Relations and you will advise and guide on pay related matters: pay reviews, reward projects, changes to pay related terms etc. You will administer labour agreements as required and provide training and assistance to all parties in interpreting and working within them . You will ensure consistency in handling disciplinary issues, process and maintain employee performance management systems, and be accountable for the finalisation of all reports and documentation.

Management and Leadership
In this role you will have two direct reports and you will be accountable for developing the team strategy and SOPs relating to investigation and disciplinary procedure. You will establish the teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives and regularly evaluate this thereafter.

Requirements

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or Employee and Labour Relations. You will have at least 8 years of job related experience with at least 8 years in HR (two years of which should be in a managerial or senior ER / HR Business Partner role).

You will have strong experience dealing with employee grievances and disciplinary matters, knowledge or ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities. You will have the ability to work at both a strategic and operational level and will have the ability to assess potential problems and make sound judgements around various issues. You will also have a high level of emotional intelligence, excellent interpersonal skills, a wide understanding of people issues and knowledge of the Qatar Labour Law.
