Manager Learning & Development - Hamad International Airport - Doha

The position will facilitate the Learning & Development with identifying plans, development, conducting L&D programs for imparting relevant competencies in order to enhance technical & professional development of employees to support business growth.

Also work closely with the business and HR leadership to understand the current and future requirements to develop and implement appropriate solutions across HIA.

In this role, The Manager Training will also manage the implementation of effective strategies and plans for the Professional and Career development of Qatari Nationals.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop & Lead the HIA L&D team to ensure effective governance, continuous improvement and Best Practices across the Group.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement activities in the areas of L&D.
- Manage the overall Group Learning & Development needs, in order to translate and interpret business requirements into a robust Training & Development plan for the organization.
- To support the HIA Management team in the creation of ad hoc learning projects and events as required by the business strategy and growth.
- To support the implementation of e-learning technology into the organization resulting in a blended interventions approach for the client area that is cost and time effective.
- To support the development of a Centre of Excellence and the Employer Brand positioning for HIA.
- Responsible for the application of the Training Cycle (assessment of needs, design, plans, development, delivery and evaluation) to develop integrated learning interventions with suitable input from the client and other parts of training.
- To develop ‘Career Learning Pathways’ in partnership with VPs & Line Managers to ensure a structured approach for specific role skill development.
- Ensure HIA employees are appropriately trained and attention paid to professional development.
- Identify high potential individuals and develop internal employees to ensure sufficient staffing and continuity.
- Contributes to the formulation of the strategic plan and management of professional and career development programs for Qatari Nationals.
- Monitors the effectiveness of learning opportunities for Qatari Nationals analyses results and suggests strategies to improve their effectiveness.
- Collaborates with Recruitment to attract Qatari Nationals through participation in Qatar Career Fair, recruitment campaigns.

Requirements

- You will hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university preferably in Human Resources Management with knowledge of Training & Development methodology.
- A recognized Training qualification or professional certificate is desirable
- PC literate with knowledge of Word/Powerpoint/ Excel.
- You will have at least 10 years in Human Resources and Training with at least 2 years in a similar position in a large multinational environment.
- You will have a proven training design and delivery skills up to executive level.
- You will have a good understanding of training processes, planning and budget management.
- Management experience in Qatarization programs, Organizational development and Talent Management is preferable.
