Manager Operations Control - Qatar Aircraft Catering Company - Qatar, Doha

Job Purpose:
Manager operations having overall responsibility of maintaining high standards in Unit Catering Operations, keeping in mind the organizational directives and policies and achieve high customer satisfaction, increase profitability and excellent employee morale.

To ensure the on time performance and effectiveness of the department through defined procedures, controls and personal management. To establish a flexible and skilled workforce to exceed the rapid demand of our esteemed passengers and business needs.

The administration of Catering Operations within set parameters, marinating the highest standards. To work closely with the positions direct reports to achieve the company’s goals and vision.

Requirements

Operational
- Manage all operational aspects of QACC to ensure that products and services are delivered to agreed standards and within budget.
- Manage and lead the development of all direct reports and departmental personal, to create a dynamic, high-performance team that can meet the operational needs of the fast-changing of our rapid-growth business and environment.
- Management of Ware-wash, equipment make up, Laundry and department functions of the business, to agreed standards and within defined budget limits.
- Develop, implement, and monitor on the job training programmes for the employees to ensure prompts response to communication/correspondence/information requests.
- Design and implement an appropriate audit programme to provide an objective, measurable assessment of the department’s performance.
- Responsible for the preparation of yearly budget requirements and forecasts for review by Vice – President-Operations.
- Lead the department continuous improvement management program to identify improvements in equipment and working procedures to obtained continued betterment in cost effective efficiencies and industry leading methods of operation.
- Accountable for the compliance, training and maintenance of health & safety, hygiene and environment

Development
- Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
- Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.
- Train Qatari staff in the duties above.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Operational Safety
- Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
- Ensure that all managers and supervisors understand work health and safety requirements and expectations to the extent that they can pass on relevant information, identify training needs and provide appropriate supervision in their workplace.
- Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved
