Marketing Executive - Events & Digital - AFGRE - Doha Festival City - Doha, Qatar

We are looking for a Marketing Executive - Events & Digital Based in Doha Festival City Mall in Qatar, you will be responsible for managing;

Marketing/ Events, Tourism & Digital Budget:
- Assist in preparing events budget on an ad hoc basis, plan and coordinate the activities to coincide with important milestones of the project; the development program; and major festivals and events organized under the umbrella of the government.
- Deliver post analysis for all major activity ensuring agreed debrief template is used to communicate results and learnings. Share debrief and future implications with all key stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of all marketing communications to Festival City branding and direction

Creative Events Approach:
- Continuously identify new and creative event ideas in line with key marketing objectives for the mall/as per marketing plan.
- Identify key sponsors (in tandem with speciality leasing department), suppliers, research entertainment opportunities, and carry out cost benefit analysis to weigh the potential opportunity in terms of the cost involved, and the return on investment, as well as achievement of business objective, for presentation. Present such proposals for review and approval by Marketing Manager.

Event Management:
- Responsible for the preparation, implementation, delivery and management of events team (made up internal staff, consultants and external contractors) for scheduled public and corporate events, optimizing PR exposure and related advertising and promotion opportunity during that period.

Digital Management:
- Develop digital strategies, plans and implementation for key mall campaigns
- Ability to effectively communicate to the Mall team to solicit buy in and ownership
- Main point of contact for the planning, management and delivery of the annual digital marketing strategy
- Identify opportunities for website improvements and improved usability
- Source content and/or offers from retailers to be used for web, direct marketing and social media
- Contribute to Researching competitors, digital trends and consumer behaviour that allows sharing of insights, data and implications for centre digital activity
- Project Management through integration of digital products and services in mall including distribution of training materials and delivery to centre stakeholders (concierge services team, centre marketing, retailers etc.)
- Testing and gathering feedback to provide to Head office Marketing
- Manage and monitor in-centre digital touch points (centre directories, Wi-Fi) to ensure they remain up to date and relevant for ease of customer
- Provide input into Product management on innovation (Digital development).

Contacts/Suppliers/3rd Parties:
- Represent the company as the key liaison with outside parties in order to yield maximum exposure and leverage for the company in such forums. Gather and maintain good external contacts with suppliers, government bodies and involved companies in order to source the best opportunities for Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate.

Retailer Coordination:
- Together with the Sr. Marketing Manager and Marketing Administrator, work on a retailer database to facilitate fast and effective retailer communication on an on-going basis. Approach retailers for participation in events/campaign/ digital i.e. Ramadan; DSS and DSF.
- Together with Sr. Marketing Manager work on bi-monthly retailer meetings for update key stakeholders/anchor retailers on events in DHFC to get a better return on retailer participation in /around the city.
- Listen to retailer feedback, complaints, requests for signage and identify ways to promote retailers within the mall.

Customer Service Requirements
- Assist the Customer Service Team in coordination of materials, complaints, collateral, signage, giveaways, and mall directories.

Agency Relationship
- Develop and maintain relationship with advertising agency for all ATL, BTL media and production requirements.
- Managing relationship with social media agency and maintaining quality of content on digital platforms.
- Develop a strong Tourism network to deliver key partnerships that assist delivering the Malls positioning as one of the key attractions to visit within Doha, Qatar.

Requirements

- Diploma in Marketing/ Events with 2-5 years in a well-established Marketing, Digital / Events management company in Europe or UAE (with good knowledge of the local marketing in terms of events/ festivals/ DED/ DFCM/ suppliers /agencies and companies engaged in events management)
- Solid understanding of consumer behaviour
- Knowledge of retail / brand marketing, social media and PR
- Excellent communications skills
- Events experience
- Digital experience
- Tourism experience (optional)
- Retailer experience (optional)

Strong communicator (English as first language) and preferably Arabic.
