Marketing Officer - Banking - Qatar
Purpose:
* Develop (with Group Head of Marketing, Communications & PR) and manage a rational and unified external and internal corporate communications strategy for the bank.
* Raise and protect the banks' reputation with the media as well as target audience within the company and outside through planned communication and media monitoring.
Major areas of responsibility
* Manage and execute external communications plan against key objectives and messages
* Develop corporate communication and PR materials
* Manage intranet and internal communication emailing.
* Monitor online & offline media to compare outreach (share of voice) and share reports.
* Distribute and publish press releases and identify interview opportunities. Manage and own media contacts.
* Arrange, manage and attend press conferences and events that represent the bank.
* Identify, evaluate, participate, manage and maximise sponsorship opportunities and exhibitions.
* Organise, plan, manage and execute internal and external events.
* Manage PR agency to ensure timely and qualitative delivery.
* Analyse and manage communication risks to prevent any unauthorised communication internally or externally.
* Identify, prepare and submit award requests to various award committees globally.
* Develop presentations and media materials.
* Maintain a strong understanding of functions of all units and develop key contacts to facilitate the gathering of business critical information for proactive and reactive purposes.
Requirements
* Broad knowledge and experience in: Corporate communication, marketing and PR
* Excellent skills in: Event management
* Demonstrated ability to: Effectively plan and execute high-profile media events, product launches etc. To develop presentations, review speeches and taking points for senior level executive.
Competencies:
* Self-driven team player, who is motivated and result oriented.
* Cultural awareness and understanding through time spent in the region and local experience
* Coaching skills
