MEP Commercial Manager

Job description / Role

Energi People have been appointed by one of the GCC's leading contracting organisations to appoint a talented MEP Commercial Manager to lead and develop the commercial functions for various high profile projects across the UAE and Qatar.

JOB PURPOSE
Execute contract management by ensuring all the company's contractual obligations, rights and duties as mentioned in the conditions of contract are discharged and administered accordingly. To ensure the submission of progress payment applications and the issuance of payment certificates and the receipt of payment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Pre-contract analysis and review of the conditions of contract and prepare Tender Commercial Review Report for management's decision. Review subcontract prior to signing of agreement to ensure it is in order. Advise on and address contractual issues. Prepare and submit notification and detailed particulars for Extension of Time application and Statement of Completion. Ensure the submission of progress payment applications and the issuance of payment certificates and the receipt of payment. Correspond with the client rep engr. on contractual issues. Advise on insurance to preserve our contractual entitlement requirement for contract. Prepare the sub contract documents as needed. Experience in Extension of Time (EOT), Claims, Arbitration's.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a Commercial
- Contracts role of which 3 must have been in a managerial position with full contractual conditions oversight in MEP.Additional relevant qualification would be an advantage.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience including FIDIC.
