Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The MEP Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with contract requirements on electrical and mechanical work carried out by the contractor.

Responsibilities:
- To review and approve contractor submittals, resolve technical issues arising and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Carry out inspection of works in progress
- Ensure contractor compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings
- Assist Site Resident Engineer with review of shop drawing and material submittals.
- Monitor and report contractor progress and all activities

Requirements

- Technical degree either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years experience in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Highway/Roads project experience would be advantageous
- Previous site inspection experience
- Understanding of British, American and International design standards.
- Working knowledge of ICAO standards would be a distinct benefit.
- Good communication skills in written and spoken English essential
- Computer literacy is essential
