Job description / Role
Objectives: Our Nail Technicians are the go-to professionals for women, the incumbent will use their extensive knowledge and training to advise customers on products, nail care and are experienced in working with gel and acrylic nails. We want to ensure that our customers receive a professional service and feel pampered throughout.
Main responsibilities:
• Discussing nail services and treatments with clients
• Removing nail polish
• Exfoliating and removing rough skin from the hands and feet
• Cleaning and trimming nails
• Promoting and selling nail and skincare products
• Interacting with other members of the salon or spa team as to provide a seamless customer experience
• Adhering to the highest standards of sanitation, which includes cleaning and sanitizing tools and equipment
• Recording and updating client records
• Paint fingernails and toenails
• Clean, cut and shape nails
• Recommend colors, rhinestones and designs based on each customer’s style
• Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments
• Sterilize equipment before use
• Inform clients about additional services and offers (e.g. loyalty discounts, eyebrow waxing etc.)
• Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g. how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer)
• Up-sell treatments and beauty products, when appropriate
• Take an interest in customers through interaction and building customer rapport
Requirements
University Qualifications: Diploma or Certificate in Cosmetology or similar field
Nature and length of previous experience: Minimum of 3 year's experience in a similar role
Specialist knowledge:
• Equipment and tool storage and use (safety, sterilization, and sanitation)
• Manicuring theory
• Nail irregularities and diseases (disorders of the nails)
• Product storage and use (safety, nail care chemicals, and their uses and technical applications)
• Skin anatomy
• Sterilization and sanitization
• Customer service
• Laws and regulations related to the practice of manicuring (personal hygiene, public health)
• Nail extensions, tips, and wraps
• Acrylic and gel nail forms, application, fills, and removal
• Nail products (gels, polishes, etc.)
Soft Skills and Personality traits:
• Strong customer care skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• A high standard of personal presentation
• Confident, professional and welcoming personality
Language Fluency: English is essential, Arabic would be an advantage
