Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role will be for 6 months contract period with a possibility of extension depending on the project progress.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Manage the OCS and Rigid OCS erection and installation activities (preparation, coordination and supervision).

The scope of the OCS-ROCS system consists of, but is not limited to:
- OCS Mast foundations in the LRT depot and in at grade zones
- OCS Masts erection and contact wire suspension fittings installation
- Rigid OCS erection in tunnel environment
- Contact wire stringing and adjustment
- Connection of 750VDC cables supply to OCS system

The OCS-ROCS Construction Manager reports directly to the OCS Project Manager and is in charge of making sure that the relevant equipments are installed in conformity with the Basic and Detail Designs, the installation procedures, the QAQC system and the time schedule in place and cost.

His duties include also the necessity to co-ordinate on all technical aspects with the Project Manager, Engineering Manager and his team of Detail Design, and with the procurement teams.

The OCS-ROCS Construction Manager is required to participate on the preparation of the Time Schedule.

To implement his task, the OCS-ROCS Manager is responsible for defining the necessary resources (Human & Material) and anticipate the needs of site activities.

During the installation, the OCS-ROCS Construction Manager is required to organize the tasks, in a competent and consistent way so that all key activities are properly controlled.
- Ensuring the OCS-ROCS installation comply with the documents and that quality requirement and deadlines are met
- Method Statement and Inspection Test Plan redaction
- Risks Analysis studies
- Managing general weekly and monthly schedules
- Managing the OCS-ROCS construction team and/or OCS Subcontract (if applicable)
- Supervising OCS-ROCS works
- Ensuring that works meet the requirements of the construction documents
- Ensuring that installation procedures are followed
- Collecting, checking and signing of related OCS Installation Quality Records
- Collecting all teams daily reports
- Coordinating the OCS-ROCS construction teams activities
- Ensuring that safety rules are followed
- Collecting and Managing non-conformities relating to OCS activity
- Reporting to the OCS-ROCS Project Manager on the OCS_ROCS progress
- Coordination and Management of interfaces with others in support of the OPC (Operation Planification Coordination) cells
- Managing Inspection with Final Customer of Client Representative for installation
- Request and handling work permit according to process the project and standards applicable in Qatar
- Handover process to T&C team
- To ensure electrical isolation during works with proper validate permit of process

The OCS_ROCS Construction Manager is responsible for his budget and on the site QP & SP plan implementation.
