Employment: Full Time

Role Summary: The primary function of the OWS Shop Tooling Coordinator role is to manage onsite Engine Tooling with focus on inventory management, proper storage and use, technician support, and ordering & return management. You will have direct interaction with Site Business leaders, Manufacturing Engineers, Planners, Technicians and Quality teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Responsible for onsite Special Tooling inventory control and support (material handling, location control, dock arrival & departure inspect & check-in/out), including support to annual site Physical Inventory and periodic cycle counts
- Lead all shop Logistics & ITC responsibilities. Accountable for compliant execution of Tool-only shipments from shop to/from field locations and to other shops. Facilitate logistics setup, generate commercial invoice documentation, assure compliance with import & export regulations, and liaison to Planners for cost accumulation
- Partner and assimilate with Site Engineer, Planners, Matl & Logistics team, Quality leader, and LEAN leader in support of productivity and cost out projects
- Provide operations support to eWMS implementation (inventory view & online order user interface). Site GoTo resource for training and user permission access. Drive consistency & best practice sharing across shop personnel
- Maintain open communications and provide issue resolution support to technicians, liaison to other sites & HQ, advocate for simplification and future enhancements. Work in collaboration with Global Tooling Shop Coordinator (Batavia HQ) to drive continuous and sustainable improvements
- Support site-specific initiatives, including EH&S Framework, Tooling-related Quality concern investigations, ergo-related shop floor enhancements, and Digital programs & implementations
- Support Site Engineering & Quality Ldr with calibration & load test compliance activities, facilitate proactive vendor shipments
- Maintain continuity and presence with Global Tooling organization, Pilot Freight team, Allyn International, Batavia machine shop. Sustain and develop working knowledge of all functional processes and support personnel associated with core responsibilities above

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Field Service, Supply Chain, or Aviation engine shop experience, technical discipline from an accredited university or college (Or High School Diploma / GED with minimum 4 years of industry experience)

- Ability to work effectively in matrix org, and embrace / lead change
- Experience with material handling equipment, fork lift operator trained
