Operations Manager - Major Highways/Civils Scheme - International PM Business

Reporting to the Programme Director and responsible for operations management of multiple project sites.

Duties:
- Management of all operational aspects of executing the programme management consultants role on a major programme of infrastructure development works.
- Management and support of the Logistics & Asset Management and Operations Teams, ensuring that the project goals and schedule are understood and delivered.
- Manage the delivery of all construction, logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities : to ensure project delivery of established technical, budgetary, schedule and quality requirements.
- Interface with all sections of the team to meet overall program deliverables.
- Development, establishment and execution of the operations strategy, standards, policies, procedures and best practices.
- Work closely with the Engineering Team to assist in the development of design solutions that promote constructability and value engineering.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the construction supervisors and the contractors, including on QHS&E requirements.

Requirements

- Sound knowledge of all operational aspects of major civil & infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities with experience in project management, construction practice and delivery of complex major projects from within an International Main Contracting or Construction Management environment.
- Experience of successfully managing and, in conjunction with direct reports, coordinating large teams of up to 40 persons.
- BSc in related subject and MICE or equivalent would be desirable.
- 20 + years post graduate experience.
- Fluency in English language both written and spoken and an experienced user of MS Office.
