Operations Manager - Roads/Highways

Menasa and Partners is immediately conducting a search for Operations Manager to join an international consultancy company working on major roads/highways projects based in Qatar. It will be reporting to the Project Director and responsible for operations management of project sites.

Main Responsibilities:
- Management of all operational aspects of executing the programme management consultant’s role on a major programme of infrastructure development works
- Management and support of the Logistics & Asset Management and Operations Teams, ensuring that the project goals and schedule are understood and delivered
- Manage the delivery of all construction, logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities;, to ensure project delivery of established technical, budgetary, schedule and quality requirements..
- Interface with all sections of the team to meet overall program deliverables
- Development, establishment and execution of the operations strategy, standards, policies, procedures and best practices
- Work closely with the Engineering Team to assist in the development of design solutions that promote constructability and value engineering
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the construction supervisors and the contractors, including on QHS&E requirements.

Requirements

- BSc in Civil Engineering or any relevant engineering degree.
- 20 + years post graduate experience.
- Sound knowledge of all operational aspects of major civil & infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities with experience in project management, construction practice and delivery of complex major projects
- Experience of successfully managing and, in conjunction with direct reports, coordinating large teams of up to 50 persons
- MICE or equivalent
- Fluency in English language both written and spoken
- Experienced user of MS Office
