Charterhouse is working with a company that is active in various markets throughout the Middle East and consists of several core complementary businesses that are separately managed. Due to enormous growth, our client is looking to urgently hire a bilingual (Arabic and English) Paralegal / Junior Lawyer to work alongside the Head of Legal.

Your responsibilities will include assisting the Head of Legal in the preparation of legal documents and contractual agreements. You will support the finalisation of agreements by performing miscellaneous tasks such as highlighting textual changes in draft agreements, collating enclosures to be attached to agreements and adapting standard templates to prepare low risk contracts for review.

In addition, you will review all incoming legal correspondence, advise if there are any relevant deadlines and notices as well as diarise the same, providing reminders periodically when necessary. This is an extremely busy role which will see you involved in preparing legal notices. You will also independently liaise with external lawyers to follow-up on legal correspondence and monitor relevant litigation / court deadlines. You will also liaise and follow up with internal departments / divisions and prepare work status reports.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have a law Degree with at least 2 years experience in a similar role. You should have outstanding Arabic and English communication skills alongside a proactive and meticulous approach. Due to the busy nature of this role, it is essential you possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to anticipate and plan ahead. Experience in Qatar would be highly advantageous, however not essential. If you are already based in Qatar you should be able to provide an NOC if on company sponsorship. This role involves an immediate start.
