Employment: Full Time

Paralegal: Projects and Ventures - Qatar - Oil and Gas

To assist and enhance the Legal department's effectiveness in the provision of legal services, by researching laws, decrees, regulations, procedures, agreements, contracts, personal policies and procedures related to matters affecting the company and its subsidiaries' interests.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, the main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Conducting legal research and other related studies as required.
- Analysing and organising legal research and compilation.
- Preparing and writing reports and correspondence
- Liaising with and following up legal activities related ti issues presented to Counsel, Senior Counsel and the Associate General Counsel within the Projects and Ventures Division.
- Handling confidential documents - tracking, cataloguing, filing, retrieving and organising files related to the matters dealt with within the division.
- Coordinating events and preparing meetings.
- Conducting and controlling the Legal department's budget preparation as per applicable procedures as well as administering invoices, analysing and reporting on budget variances, so as to ensure sufficient departmental budget and cost control.

Requirements

- Bachelors of Law (LLB) from a recognised university.
- Excellent command of spoken and written Arabic and English.
- Excellent drafting , research and organisation skills.
- At least 5 years experience in a similar function.
- Experience in working in a multinational environment.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word.
