Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Organize to assume comprehensive and independent responsibility for preparation of Bar Charts, Construction Programs, Construction Planning, Crash Programs, Cash Flow, identifying items on Critical Path, suggestive programs for Recovery Programs and other Planning related issues for each “Turnkey” project, by using PRIMAVERA, MS-PROJECTS or other state-of-the-art softwares.
- Organize to establish start and end date, commensurate with contractual clauses and prepare Construction Programs and Cash Flow accordingly.
- Organize to coordinate with field engineers to record actual progress of each component of work and submit factual status to the management.
- Organize to highlight items or components on critical path, and prepare and submit factual status to the management.
- Organize to prepare Construction Programs and Cash Flow for submission and approval by clients and consultants, with prior approval by the management.
- Organize to prepare Revised Construction Programs and Cash Flow for submission and approval by clients and consultants, with prior approval by the management.
- Organize to prepare Crash Programs and Recovery Programs for approval by clients and consultants, with prior approval by the management.
- Organize to pre-warn Operations Team and management for requirement of extension of time.
- Organize to coordinate with the Operations Team for recording and updation of factual progress achieved by company labours.
- Organize to coordinate with the Operations Team for recording and updation of factual progress achieved by sub-contractors.
- Organize to attend site meetings, where required, to record status of progress, delays (if any), suggestions for recovery and resource mobilization.
- Organize to confidentially apprise management about anticipated delays on any component of the project, requiring special attention.
- Organize to play a pro-active role in internal coordination meetings in preparing a professional Construction Program
- Organize to coordinate with all concerned inter-departments including Contracts Department, Design Department, Technical Coordination Department, Purchase Department and others for proper coordination.
- Organize to keep abreast with operating all versions of PRIMAVERA, MS-PROJECTS and any other state-of-the-art softwares as may be required.
- Organize to keep abreast with latest applicable codes of practice.
- Organize to keep abreast with latest rules, regulations, laws, by-laws and/or notifications issued by statutory authorities.

Requirements

- Working closely with Project Managers to plan and prepare proper computer generated work programmes based on the Contractual requirements and scope of works upon award of Contracts in either Microsoft Project or Primavera Software system inline with the Master Work programmes.
- To constantly and periodically up-date the work progress in the above said programmes based on the Main-Contractor or Consultant’s requirement.
- Assist the internal Cost Estimator (QS) in preparing the similar work programmes based on tender requirements for submission during tendering stage.
- Assist any other internal departments particularly the Properties & Development in drawing up the similar work programmes for implementing the internal projects.
- May inquire to attend the Project site meetings whenever necessary to brief and answer the said work programmes submitted as well as for updating the work progress to the Client, Architect, Consultant or Main Contractor.
- Report directly to the General Manager (Projects & Development) but also answerable to all Project Managers in regards to the daily routine works.
- Any other ad-hoc assignments that are requested by the Managing Director, Executive Director and General Manager (P&D) from time to time.
