Job description / Role
Principal Bridge Designer - Doha, Qatar
- Cross-discipline coordination of design information and ensuring that the design is compatible across disciplines. Monitors the effectiveness of the coordination and reviews the design drawings prior to issue.
- Identification of methods and procedures for improving coordination between design disciplines and making recommendations on their implementation.
- Produces reports on design compatibility issues and makes recommendations on solutions.
- Reviews the designs for compliance with the design criteria as part of the coordination review.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree.
- Chartered with 5-10 years of post chartered experience
- 15 years experience in the design of complex bridge, tunnel, structures or utilities projects.
- Experience of using single model environments for the design of multi-discipline projects.
- Experience with quality control procedures is a must.
- Experienced in designing in a 3D environment
