Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Main Task
- Oversee the Qatar procurement team
- Oversee Expeditor / Admin Team
- Assist with warehouse as and when required
- Oversee the Department Training
- Conduct Training for department and BU
- Give advice and assisting team member on strategy on commercial and guide them along
- Monitor and review project procurement activity
- In-charge of negotiation strategy for order above 50K (SGD)
- Assist the team on improvement work in procurement
- Assist on surplus material for all project after finish
- Assist in open PR, PO, Invoice with issues etc
- Sign PO
- Assist on the procurement audit if required


Detail Task For Buying items
- To source potential suppliers in line with specification / Sending RFQ's
- To evaluate and update new/existing vendors into Approved Vendor List
- To coordinate with Project Team and Suppliers for any technical clarification
- To perform negotiations with short listed supplier(s) to the lowest best price with timely delivery.
- To ensure the appropriate terms and conditions are specified on the purchase order
- To prepare Bidtabs for Approval
- To prepare Purchaser's Terms & Conditions for purchases more than SGD 50K
- To coordinate with Project Team for any urgent purchase
- To arrange Training (Introduction & Product Presentation from Vendors)
- To process order and ensure timely delivery from the vendor
- To coordinate with Material/Logistic Controllers for GR/GI issues, if required
- To assist Finance for invoices with issues
- To assist in expediting for deliveries if required
- To send Approved Purchase Order to Vendor
- To co-ordinate with Vendor for any return or replacement of defective materials
- Issue PO if necessary
- To update and report to Supervisor on the above
- To ensure Project give the "Material Plan for Project"

Detail Task for overseeing procurement team
- To do appraisal for team member and review their work and performance regularly
- To provide mentoring to the team
- To provide guidance to the team on commercial or process flow matters
- To work with the team to increase productivity in the process work flow
- To interview and provide training to the new team member

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience on EPIC projects with 5 years’ experience managing multi-discipline medium-large size contracts in the GCC Region.
- Preferable experience in managing contractors in Qatar.
- Candidate preferably be Arabic and English speaker
- Demonstrated leadership experience and skills to manage large or multiple construction projects.
