Procurement Officer

Job description / Role

Perform the assigned duties to acquire Material requirement , to execute purchasing processes and practices, identify new opportunities, drafting and negotiation purchase orders, Identify cost saving opportunities and develop required plans to achieve them, Searching for new suppliers:
- Ensure the Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) Cycle time is maintained as per the policies and procedures of procurement department.
- Maintain cost consciousness by getting a minimum of three quotations for each Purchase Order (PO).
- Maintain the prequalification terms and conditions and ensure that all supplier prequalification the company deals with are qualified as per the company policy.
- Manage all advanced payment are secured either by security check or bank guarantee.
- Ensure that the delivery of materials is agreed with the suppliers prior raising the Purchase Order (PO) and closing of the Purchase Order (PO).

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Business Administration or equivalent
* Minimum four (4) years’ of relevant experience in procurement role in construction industry, two (2) of which should be in GCC

Knowledge and Skills:
* Ability to establish and maintain relationship with partners; strong communication and negotiation skills
* Good knowledge and participation experience in procurement, tenders and bid selection process
* Proficient in MS Office Applications and other Microsoft tools
* Ability to understand and conceptualize the complex problems of procurement of goods, works and services

ERP Experience
* Certification in Purchasing/ Procurement from Reputed Body.
