Due to continued success in the country we are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our already established team in Qatar.

To provide leadership and project direction on high rise residential properties type projects. Full internal commercial performance of the project; reporting internally to the Project Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of high end residential properties, supported by a commercial/quantity surveying team, projects controls team and a construction management team. Responsible for the performance of the appointed contractor and sub-contractors and the overall quality of the finished product.

The Project Manager will be entrusted with direct liaison and relationship management with the client’s project director and commercial director; and as such acting as account manager for clients, providing service delivery, demonstrating your role as a key stakeholder and first point of contact.

Responsibilities:
- Full Project Management duties
- Ensuring implementation and compliance with the Integrated Management System
- Provision of pre and post contract project control and responsibility
- Staff structure and formal routes of reporting
- Planning, organisation and control.
- Monitoring all work executed, at all stages, to ensure that an accurate and professional service is offered to clients.
- Ensuring implementation and compliance with the Project Management toolkit.
- Guidance of team members in technical and contractual obligations and duties
- Professional interface with other disciplines and the client’s representative
- To ensure the high quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients
- Representation of the team
- To provide full efficient and effective services in all technical and contractual aspects of professional practice
- Service delivery to clients and act as primary interface, ensuring Faithful+Gould secure the client’s confidence.
- Taking an active role in the APC programme; adopting the role of named supervisor or counsellor and conducting mock interviews for those colleagues undertaking the APC process.

Requirements

- Degree holder in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, from a reputable university
- Member of a professional project management institute
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant international project management experience
- Proven ability to demonstrate the effective delivery of Project Manager duties from initial brief through delivery to final completion and handover.
- Recent experience working on large scale residential construction projects in Qatar
- The agreement of, and compliance with, established time frames
- Productive supervision of subordinates including adequate planning, monitoring and control.
- Familiarity with contractual obligations, breaches and remedies.
- Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements applicable to the business and wider construction industry.
- General knowledge of current legal and regulatory developments in respect of construction and associated law
- Ability to manage a team on major/complex projects.
- Effective team control and building of team spirit/culture
- Retaining existing clients for further work and securing new clients
- Demonstrate an understanding of overall project requirements and the ability to advise client’s knowledgably on overall project management issues
- Enforce the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with the organisation's Policies.
- Good understanding and practical application of the organisation's Policy and arrangements for managing your own personal safety and the safety of those who report to you.
- Demonstrate effective leadership and high commitment in order to achieve goals
- Excellent communications skills; including report writing and presentation skills
