Project Manager (Instrumentation and Controls)

Job description / Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Project Manager (Instrumentation and Controls) to join a great consultancy firm in Qatar. Ideally you should have an experience in oil & gas construction (on shore). The proposed candidate will have a minimum of 12 years’ experience in engineering consultancy and a minimum of 5 years’ experience within project management. The proposed candidate will be required to carry the following duties:

- Coordinates project execution activities to ensure that all Instrumentation and control projects are implemented within budget and schedule.
- Monitors project progress through project coordination meetings and other means, against project schedules and budgets; deploy resources as required to accomplish these goals.
- Responsible for managing a team of multi-disciplined team during construction and commissioning of Instrumentation and control type projects, ensuring the site is controlled and managed per the client’s standards.
- Monitoring contractors and ensuring the control & instrumentation design intent is maintained for all systems and associated field equipment. •Ensure works are engineered and constructed in compliance with all HSE requirements.

Requirements

The relevant candidate will also have experience in design and engineering of electrical, Instrument and control systems, testing and commissioning, mainly on Oil and Gas projects onshore and offshore
