QA/QC Engineer (Highways) - Qatar

Linum Consult’s client is urgently seeking a QA/QC Engineer specialising in highway construction project and from a consultancy background to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning QA/QC activities in conjunction with the Project Manager
- Checking the delivered material is in compliance with the approved material submittals
- Controlling the quality and the compliance of all works carried out on site as per the method statements approved by the Engineer and as per local standards
- Monitoring and auditing the project Quality Management System including carrying out corrective and preventative action where required
- Using a document control system to record and track the quality documents

Requirements

- 10 years of experience, with a background of working on large highway construction projects for major consultancies
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar, with a QA qualification and IRCA Lead Assessor ISO 9001 certificate
- Good technical knowledge of QA/QC work practices and standards
- Previous history of working in the Middle East
- Fluency in English, with good interpersonal and communication skills
