Quality Control Inspector - Higway Project

Job description / Role

Norconsulting is currently looking for a highly experienced Quality Control Inspector for a Major Highway Project, this role will report into the Highway Engineer. The position is base in Doha, Qatar

Duties Include;
- Inspecting site conditions prior to start of construction activities.
- Verify the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works.
- Checking for obstructions.
- Photograph and document the condition of existing property that might be damaged by the work.
- Make sure all existing structures, property, utilities and landscaping are properly protected.
- Inspecting the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documenting and approving shop drawings and submittals
- Preparing daily logs and reports.
- Maintain records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc perform all work in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
- Observing site safety practices and the progress of the work. Report any concerns to the RE.
- Assisting with the inspection of completed works.
- Help prepare punch lists.
- Monitor the startup, testing, commissioning and handover of the works.
- Able to read working drawings and related specifications, and be capable of enforcing such specifications and producing relevant reports.

Requirements

A minimum of 7 years relevant experience in comparable highway projects is required

Specific skills required;
- Accuracy and precision of work
- Must be a self-starter and possess leadership qualities.
- Able to interface with both clients and other inter-office discipline at a senior level
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure

MAX SALARY: 11400 QAR all inclusive
